Join the Directory

Do you have a green building product or material that can be used for the construction, renovation or operation of a commercial or institutional building that you want to list in our Directory? If your answer is yes, please follow these five steps:

STEP 1: Ensure that you are a Manitoba-based company   

This Directory is intended to serve only Manitoba-based companies. The term ‘Manitoba-based’ is deemed to mean that the company must have a physical presence in our province. This could range from having a representative who lives and works full-time in Manitoba to having a manufacturing and/or distribution facility in Manitoba.

STEP 2: Verify that your product meets one or more of our listing criteria  

To be listed in the Directory, your product must self-declare that it meets at least one or more of the following ‘green’ criteria:

  1. Made with salvaged, recycled or agricultural waste material
  2. Conserves natural resources
  3. Avoids toxic or other emissions
  4. Saves energy or water
  5. Contributes to a safe, healthy indoor environment

STEP 3: Review and agree to our Listing Agreement Terms and Conditions  

Neither Green Manitoba nor the Manitoba Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council review the accuracy of any claims made for products listed in the Directory and therefore do not accept any liability for anyone who relies upon them. In listing products, we encourage you to provide information about any certifications your product has received from industry associations, independent test labs or rating and labeling organizations.

Companies that make false or misleading claims about their products' ability to satisfy the Directory’s criteria will, subject to an appeal process, be delisted. Listings that are obviously false, misleading, in poor taste or offensive will be removed immediately from the Directory.

STEP 4: Submit a fee to have to your product listed    

Our goal is to strike a balance between making the cost to operate the Directory self-sustaining and to minimize the cost to list a product. Any revenues from listing fees or sponsorships that are in excess of operating costs will be used to enhance and expand the functionality of the Directory.

STEP 5: List your product and company details

  1. The final step is to go to this link to list your product. Before you list your product, please ensure that you have the following information ready: A maximum 200-word description of your product and company.
  2. A photo of the product you would like to list.
  3. Information about any certifications your product has from industry associations, independent test labs or rating and labeling organizations.
  4. Your company’s complete contact information. 
  5. The web address for your company’s website (optional).
